ORDERS!!!

So yesterday around lunch time my hubby arrived home from the gym for lunch and we have been anxiously awaiting orders, so we check his people soft often. I was so excited I about peed my pants when we scrolled down to see our next unit will be Port Canaveral, Florida. This was our number one pick and we have been waiting to find out where we would be stationed next since November. Can I just say that having someone you have never met before decide where you will be moving is one of the most nerve racking things I have ever been through in my life. It was not so bad when we were newly weds and did not have a baby to think about but now that we do the location we would be raising a family really matters. On top of the fact that I want my baby to be able to really know his grandparents. We will now be only 2 hours from both sets! They are beyond ecstatic that we will be so close after living almost as far as we possibly could away from them! My hubby will be making the drive, and I will be flying back with my son since he will just be a year old and I don't think that 10+ hour a day car seat rides for over a week will cut it.

I am so excited to see what the next four years will bring us, hopefully we will be buying our first home. Then maybe another baby, and I would also love to really get my degree finished! I will miss Valdez, especially some of the amazing people I have met here. The mountains literally outside my front door, back door, side door heck I am surrounded on all side by them! The over 300 inches of snow a year (sometimes). The fishing-hiking-camping-hunting! Those are all things I will miss.

I will try to upload some pictures soon of the amazing world I live in up here in Alaska, and I hope to never forget the feeling of being so close to God on this earth. No place has ever felt so majestic  pure, and real than here in Alaska. I hope to come back again some day.

Driving around this past weekend enjoying the clear sky!
Anyways, I just wanted to write to say how excited I am. Late night rambling session over :)

  1. That's exciting! That's a great area too...Orlando is my favorite city to shop in, even though the drivers are horrendous. My folks live near Tampa, so I'm a little jealous. :)
